Finding A Great Undergraduate Dissertation Example

Finding A Great Undergraduate Dissertation Example

Being an undergraduate is not the walk in the park that some people would have you believe. The transition from high-school to college or university is an enormous one and shouldn’t be underestimated. It is easy at this time in your life to feel swamped or under siege and instead of coming up with a killer dissertation all you want to do is crawl under the nearest rock and hide. It makes sense seeing as it is incredibly important that you impress your tutor to seek out a great dissertation example. This should serve two purposes:

  • It will ease your nerves
  • Give you the confidence to write your dissertation knowing that you are on the right track.

Because you are new then the problem can simply be a case of not knowing where to find that example. So, in anticipation of that here’re my top tips on finding an undergraduate sample paper:

Google Scholar

Rather than setting off in multiple directions at once, a quick visit to Google Scholar should yield the results that you need. Not only is this a FREE resource, but it is so quick and easy to use, that honestly your grandma could use it! What’s more it is a trusted source and more and more students are turning to it.

Academic journals

A trawl of academic journals may not be top of your list right now, but they are honestly, a fabulous way of finding the samples that you need. They are also full of a whole host of other little gems and nuggets of information that you should find incredibly useful.

Your tutor

Your tutor should be more than happy to provide you with the examples that you need. They should know that as an undergraduate you are going to be riddled with nerves and should be doing as much as possible to help ease you in.

Your college resource centre

The resource centre is the hub of the campus and not only will you find samples of papers in here but you should also find all of the other information that you need to help you navigate student life. If you are feeling a little overwhelmed they should also be able to put you in touch with student counselling services etc.

The Library

Never under-estimate the power of the library! Whether you opt to go to your college library or your central library, you should have no problem finding the information that you need.
